• egan1 : fr man, google themselves (who kicked off this bubble) said they need 1 million qubits to even start to commercialize quantum. they got 105 working... and it's taken 20 years to get here. Google obviously has infinitely more cash to fund this research. buying the stocks you mentioned is the equivalent of investing in fusion energy 20 years ago. fair value for IONQ specifically, imo is about 250-300mil in market cap.

• 72407950 : Trading based on chart patterns is unreliable in general, but it's completely useless with stocks that have run up like this one.
  That's irrelevant though, because this looks nothing like a bull flag, it's literally a textbook example of a bearish pennant.

• 72407950 102823122 : It's unclear what effect it will have. If those shareholders sell a large number of shares(which is frankly inevitable, we just don't know when), it will drop the price.
  However, for it to cause an extremely sharp drop, they would have to dump them all at once, causing a panic sell-off by retail investors.
  The main problem is that this lock-up expiration doesn't seem to be widely reported, only moo moo shows it. You'd have to go through the company forms to find the actual lock-up agreement. Bad news can't cause a sell off if nobody knows about it.

• 102875548 OP PaulG : I started with IonQ, from all the hype, read the fundamentals & moved to technical. Then i researched into Q computing.
  Each has a value. You can only bet at the start, not invest.
  When google announce willow, i knew it but google is too large to move. Even IBM is too large, too slow.
