A helicopter crash in New York that resulted in the deaths of six people has led to the suspension of the involved sightseeing company as the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) investigates.
The USA Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced late Sunday local time that a sightseeing helicopter company has immediately suspended its Operation following last week's fatal crash in the Hudson River. Last Thursday, a helicopter operated by "New York Helicopter Tours" crashed into the Hudson River, resulting in the deaths of all six people on board. The FAA stated on Sunday that it will immediately initiate a review of the operator's license and safety records, and cooperate with the USA National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) on the accident investigation. It is currently unclear whether the company suspended its Operation voluntarily or was ordered to do so by the FAA.
