Siemens: After acquiring Altair, will conduct more acquisitions in the software field.
Siemens board member Cedrik Neike stated that after spending 10.6 billion USD to acquire the American industrial software company Altair, Siemens has enough funds for further software acquisitions. "This is definitely not the last acquisition we will make in the software field," Neike said on Friday. "We have enough funds for more trades, and software business is a key driver of growth and profitability." The Altair acquisition transaction is the second largest in Siemens' history, consolidating Siemens' position in the industrial software market. "This is a diamond-like unique opportunity."
