1) Biden said they want to increase chip export restrictions to china
2) trump wants taiwan to pay for its own defence -> bad for semis because TSM literally produces majority of global cutting edge semiconductor chips and if china gets funny ideas there goes the global supply chain of semis -> that's why a shit company like INTC is rising today because if TSM dies everyone will have to flock to INTC
3) continuing theme of money rotation from tech & semis into small caps and rate-sensitive stocks
don't really care about 1) because biden is going to lose the elections
2) feels like trump running his mouth he knows that he needs taiwan on his side his advisers will tell him that and he needs taiwan to counter china and intc won't be able to step up to meet demand because it's a terrible company with terrible management
3) is temporary
