The most exciting moment in my 2024 investment journey was when I first considered just diving into buying Super Micro Computer, SMCI. I really did not research the stock, but I was interested in learning more about the company. Suddenly, I had multiple Moomoo alerts, I was at the clinic seeing patients, and I had little time to really consider the risks.

The US stock market ended Tuesday, 31 December, lower as investors wrapped up another stellar year that saw the S&P500 gained by 24%.
This is its 2nd straight annual gain of more than 20%. The last time this happened was in 1997-1998.
All that said, the 3 red days is a small warning to investors that there are still uncertainties and potential headwinds as we go into 2025 - inflation, rate cut campaign, Trump 2.0, companies earnings etc.
