That's nonsensical. You'll be trapped in a paradox. A rumor that has been confirmed will no longer be either. Besides, buy the rumor, sell the news!

If I was to say to others to buy on rumor and its not true? Or deal gets rejected! Then I would feel responsible for people losing money! By me wording it that way! The truth as I can confirm right now. Allows others to make their own decisions on it! But thanks for sharing with me how the market works! Hehehe

Way ahead of you sir! I checked for confirmation on a rumor that you would never tell anyone to buy a stock. Therefore, you could never feel bad for telling someone to do so. Don't mind me though.... I'm just stretching my brain before market open

The main reason I don’t give buy/sell advice is because I have no way to know others risk tolerance? Or the type of trade they are making! A huge difference between a momentum trade, a day trade, a swing or even someone looking for a long hold! So where I might trade a ticker and be in and out in minutes. The person who asked if it’s a good buy. Well they might not know to sell at 15/25% then are stuck? Anyway GL
$Solventum (SOLV.US)$$3M (MMM.US)$It’s pretty common large business spin off is not properly priced. Unsure then just basket them, and sell and buy together. Wall street voodoo, different industry has different multiple… Dow and Industry fund will sell, and medical fund will buy in. Debt allocation make things more complicated. Say profit is 9:1, but Debt could allocated 18: 1, or 5: 1, or even 3:1, apparently different price. Recall UTX spin off. RTX was bad at that...
April 2024 has been a remarkable month for my portfolio, characterized by a surge that edge out the$Hang Seng Index (800000.HK)$by a hair's breadth, but outpaced major benchmarks like$SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY.US)$and$FTSE Singapore Straits Time Index (.STI.SG)$. One of the main reasons behind this performance was long awaited rally in the Chinese market. After weathering 3 years of turbulent crashes, it was like seeing a phoenix r...

Guess the market thinks the spin-off of Solventum$Solventum (SOLV.US)$and its $8B+ revenue stream wasn't such a hot idea. 3M$3M (MMM.US)$down 13.3% on the day.

that’s value of SOLV / 4. Btw I was a fool to buy 1 share 3M last week, such that I don’t get SOLV shares, literally wasted a lunch box.
