10baggerbamm : there's no question these stocks represent the future they represent where growth is the growth is not in and not to pick on this company but McDonald's the growth is not in Lowe's it's not in Walmart what they consider growth is low single digit mid single digit even Apple they're going to have a growth year but maybe they're at 7% revenue growth 8%, that's what you're looking at. chip stocks are 20 to 100%, some even more. the issue is many cell to cyclical industries for example the automotive industry and this destroyed the rally because ASM lithography cautioned everybody a year ago fourth quarter that one of their customers in the automotive industry was experiencing a down cycle that they expected it to pick up in the second half of 24 so that's July to December now it did not and it trounced the stocks and short sellers pounded the shit out of them. enter 2025 contrarians are going to be coming back value investors are going to come back yes value to the chip stocks this basket was over $72 it's 32 now so an average rebound puts it in the mid 50s that's a nice return on investment wouldn't you say?

10baggerbamm : I don't think we're going to come close to $35 obviously yesterday we had consolidation take place with broadcom leading the way down with Nvidia leading the way down and marvel also having some profit taking. yesterday Jensen released a new product it's on Nvidia I posted it when it came out and this morning we have Nvidia up $4 and change after the Bell today we have the last of the key chip companies and that is micron.
so if micron has another spectacular quarter just like last quarter where they exceeded revenue exceeded earnings and they guided higher than anticipated and micron had a huge gap up then I think maybe by Friday's close and this assumes chairman Powell does not derail the market with too much of a hawkish statement I think we could see mid-33s maybe high 33s.
