ETF does provide a convenient and cost effective way to achieve diversification. It also lowers investment risk by holding a basket of stocks rather than selecting individual stock.
The lesson learned was sometimes I do make wrong decision on not buying low during market downturn. To overcome this, ETF + RSP may be a good solution for me to ride with volatility while stick to the plan to achieve investment goals.

I've been a risk-adversed person when it comes to investing. Constantly investing into ETF has been a monthly ritual of mine and it has been pretty encouraging so far... I just started my investment journey a month ago and it was because I felt like I needed to make my money work for me. My ETF story

After a long research, I came up with these ETFs that I would invest in for a long run.
The ETFs are $SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF (SPLG.US)$, $VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH.US)$, $Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF (SCHD.US)$, and $Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP.US)$. The no-brainer strategy will be 25% for each etf allocation in this year.

why buy etf?
easiest way to own a basket of shares at low cost.
good for new investors or investors with no time to track their investment.
I started with $LION-PHILLIP S-REIT (CLR.SG)$ . sreits is known for good dividend. with time and knowledge, I study its holding and pick up the strongest stocks to hold individually.
