It makes little sense for institutions to have a huge dump for big cap stocks during this period, unless of course it’s to wipe out options on Friday. With this said, at the most, it only has to go sideways, and that could kill both short-dated call and put options.

At the moment, the inflation number is getting close to Fed’s 2% target. So if we do not have negative surprise from CPI number on Tuesday, Powell should not sound too hawkish. I mean, he will likely still provide his usual cautious statements, but probably won’t be aggressively hawkish.
