For momentum names, in either direction, that's all that matters -> is the story continuing to improve w/ beat and raises, or is the story continuing to erode with misses / guidance reductions.
There is more complexity at extremes (ie second derivatives) that also works -> the story h...

Although the latest CPI figures came in line with expectations, they remain above the Fed’s 2% target.
The slight uptick in the numbers actually reinforced the fears of persistent & sticky inflation.
This basically complicates the Fed’s strategy as they plan out their monetary policy under a new administration in 2025.
So are we gonna have a rate cut this Dec? If yes, what is the size of it? Also, what’s the plan for 2025? Will inflation creep back up again?
