S&P 500 Index Stock Discussion
There will be more challenges ahead in 2025 after $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ has risen by more than 20% for two consecutive years. Currently the PE valuation of S&P500 is very high compared to historical data.
Will US stock markets keep rising for another year? Or moving sideways? Or large pullback?
I will keep monitoring on the stock markets and adjusting my portfolio accordingly to prep...
This is its 2nd straight annual gain of more than 20%. The last time this happened was in 1997-1998.
All that said, the 3 red days is a small warning to investors that there are still uncertainties and potential headwinds as we go into 2025 - inflation, rate cut campaign, Trump 2.0, companies earnings etc.

Shortly after close, the $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ dipped 0.43% to 5,881.63, the $Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI.US)$ edged down 0.07% to 42,544.22, and the $Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC.US)$ dropped 0.9% to 19,310.79.
For the year, the Nasdaq Composite led the way, rising 29%. The S&P 500 was up 23% (a second straight year of 20% gains) and the Dow added almost 13%.
