Sanan Optoelectronics (600703.SH) stated on the investor interaction platform on September 19 that Hunan Sanan and STMicroelectronics have established a joint venture company, Anson, in Chongqing. It is expected to achieve production line connection in November and gradually release production capacity. The planned production capacity of this joint venture company is expected to reach 0.48 million wafers per year by 2028. To ensure the future demand for silicon carbide substrate materials by the joint venture company, Hunan Sanan's wholly-owned subsidiary, Chongqing Sanan, will provide silicon carbide substrates to Anson. The substrate factory has been lit up and connected at the end of August.
