Of course it does not hurt that they are under an authoritarian government with the right to decide the intent of the law and how strict enforcement should be.
After all, is that not what our paranoia tells us they are doing?
Any bets what their paranoia is telling their people who think about such things? Yep, same thing we think.
How common is it to point the finger and say they are doing something we are actually doing ourselves. I can think of many examples in recent history, very recent.
Of course if we stop and really look at it, we are more alike than we are different. It is our government types who think we need to be at odds. Of course then they teach US that WE need to be at odds.

Chipmaker Nvidia Corp. and gaming company Roblox Corp. are just two of the stocks to have surged since Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg renamed his company to highlight a shift in focus to virtual reality.
In that brief three-week period, dozens of tech stocks have added hundreds of billions dollars in market capitalization. Between Nvidia, Roblox and the re-christened Meta Platforms Inc., that equates to a combined $230 billion. Nvidia has gained 18% in November and Roblox is up 39%.
Metaverse -- digital worlds where users can socialize, play games and conduct business -- is a multi-trillion dollar opportunity, according to Epic Games Inc. Chief Executive Officer Tim Sweeney. Still, mass market adoption of virtual reality and augmented reality technologies will only occur when Apple Inc. joins the party, Morgan Stanley analysts have said.
“The Metaverse is real -- but is emerging,” said Neil Campling, an analyst at Mirabaud Securities. “Some of most likely beneficiaries of metaverse gaming should be the platform companies and those with scale,” Campling said, citing the likes of Tencent Holdings Ltd. and Microsoft Corp.

Arcane,” an anime series based on the League fantasy universe, premiered to an overwhelmingly positive response, garnering 130 million views in China within a few hours and becoming the most searched item on Tencent’s streaming site. Globally, the show -- co-created by the Tencent-owned game maker Riot Games Inc. -- is streamed on Netflix Inc.’s service as well as Amazon.com Inc.’s $Amazon (AMZN.US)$ Twitch.
A hit video-game show and the success of the e-sports tournament are a boost for Tencent, which is among companies trying to cope with Beijing’s crackdown on the industry. In August, Chinese authorities said children could play video games just three hours a week in most cases, hurting the stocks of Tencent and other companies.
Chinese e-sports stocks surged after the event, with the tournament’s topic of the home team winning viewed more than 3 billion times on the microblogging site Weibo Corp. Dalian Zeus Entertainment and Hangzhou Electric Soul both rose by the 10% daily limit.
Key to the strategy is the mutually reinforcing effects of shows like Arcane benefiting from a huge built-in audience to gain notice and then using that notoriety to introduce more people to the game. League of Legends has more than 100 million players globally. No matter how high the market is, there are always undervalued stocks due to fear in the market. Look for those trading near 52 weeks low and start to sieve out the good one that can hold for long term by looking at the business. Be patient to enter at a discounted rate.
Currently some Chinese stocks are looking good due to the current regulation issues. Once situation has stabilised, valuation will go back up.
