$iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT.US)$ Did DXY break out of the descending channel it was in? Yes, yes it did. I shared before that as long as it stays above the key trendline around 105.40 it is still bullish and could continue higher. It has pushed above most of the 4-hour Ichimoku Cloud Res, and is bouncing off of daily support.
I hope that Moomoo can get DXY soon.

TLT 30% Tax Exemption?

$iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT.US)$
i found this article (from Futu).
It says:
"starting from April 2024, Futu will exempt the withholding tax on TLT dividends in US stocks. The withholding tax will not be deducted when dividends are distributed for Non-US Tax residents"
Does it means that Malaysian/ Singaporean etc will get Tax Exempted for TLT dividends from MooMoo; Am I right?
Anyone can clarify pls?

Hi. Anyone knows how to claim back TLT 30% Witholding Tax from MooMoo for Malaysian (Non US residents) as it's Tax Exempted.

Pursuant to U.S. tax regulations, a non-U.S. person is subject to a withholding tax on all U.S. source income, which is payable to Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Most types of U.S. source income received by a non-U.S. person are subject to U.S. tax of 30%. A reduced rate, including exemption, may apply if there is applicable tax treaty between the non-U.S. person's country of residence and the U.S.
As Malaysia does not have a tax treaty with the U.S., the withholding tax is generally applied to Malaysians at a prevailing rate of 30% on the U.S. source income, including interest and dividends.

For US stock dividend: Yes. Need to pay 30% Tax as usual..
But
TLT is a "BOND" etf as mentioned (Not Stock); that's Why i would like to find out before making any order.

Moomoo Buddy 104087180 OP : Dear valued customer, for both US stock's & ETF's cash dividends in Moomoo SG:
Singapore investors will be charged a 30% witholding tax, this is due to Singapore and the US do not have any Tax Treaty, so there is a 30% stock dividend tax deduction.

$SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY.US)$ $iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT.US)$ Any ForEx or TLT traders might wanna pay attention to this falling wedge on DXY, which is targeting ~108. Above IC support on both the 4-hour and daily and the apex of the pattern is targeting the top of daily support. Looks like confluence to me. This could absolutely hurt SPY/QQQ as well, at a time when SPY is about to kiss the Res that has never been broken in years, around 603.
