TrytosaveabitOP 72840248: Yup you’re right! Lots of other countries have either put restrictions with severe penalties if those restrictions violated! And some have done away with short selling altogether! But in US even when they do break the minimal restrictions. The penalty is so meager that they just pay the fine and chalk it up to the cost of doing business! I mean if you make 10 million cheating, get caught and pay a 500K fine and go back to trading! Where is the actual deterrent? Cost of doing business! Hehehe
