Tesla Is Heading Into a 'Bullish Month'. Is an Annual High in Sight?
RonaIdo : I have been here since robotaxi event… when Tesla was trading at 215 lol
10baggerbamm OP RonaIdo : I was buying the leveraged ETF from mid $11 range selling puts getting put more stock selling puts getting put more stock and the day that the earnings are coming out it was below 8.90 and I bought more of the ETF that day.
KerMix㉿小号 : My book costs 21.89.
SWUCASUWUIUCUD 10baggerbamm OP : Is it fine to keep it for long term? I heard keeping soxl for long term results in loss with time.
10baggerbamm OP SWUCASUWUIUCUD : so if you just talk about leveraged ETFs as a group you only ideally want to be in them when they are rising and the reason why I make such a obvious statement is because when the trade goes against you in a leveraged ETF the pain that you will experience is unlike anything you have felt before.. so let's suppose a stock falls 20%, you've now in a leveraged ETF 3x have a 60% loss.
so if you're going to buy and hold a leveraged ETF whether it's on an individual company or a sector you better number one believe in the company that the future is very bright ahead not that it's going to be a turnaround someday probably maybe I don't know when but the company is firing on all cylinders they're executing very well they raised their guidance they've exceeded revenue they've exceeded earnings their margins are increasing they have checked all the boxes.
because if you're in something that has an upward channel and you get a down day you can at least feel comfortable knowing there's going to be a new round of buyers coming back in bidding that stock or that ETF up.
if you are in one that's in a perpetual slide just look at advanced micro devices and look at the underlying ETF amdl. it is what bankruptcy is made of you are getting absolutely decimated from $28 to below $8 today.
so that's the first thing you want to be in one that the future is bright as an individual stock or is a basket.
number two I know there's a lot of people that say because they read it that leverage ETFs have a decay and they're only supposed to be day traded I've heard that I've heard it here I've read it here I read it elsewhere's multiple times.
