SK Hynix CEO Guo Lujing stated on Monday that the company will launch the industry's first 48GB 16-layer high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chip early next year, solidifying its leading position in the artificial intelligence (AI) chip market. Guo Lujing stated at the SK AI Summit held in Seoul on the same day: "Starting from the next generation HBM4, the market for 16-layer HBM is expected to open up."
