Spirit CEO Ted Christie has waved a big middle finger at shareholders ever since they voted for the $JetBlue Airways (JBLU.US)$ deal instead of the $Frontier Group (ULCC.US)$ deal back in July 2022. A Trump DOJ would never have blocked the JetBlue-Spirit merger… and will never block a Frontier-Spirit merger. Similarly, a Harris DOJ would likely let this deal happen since they have driven Spirit to the brink of bankruptcy by blocking the JetBlue buyout.
