OpenAI's site selection work in multiple locations in Texas has entered an advanced stage, with the construction of its first Datacenter launched in Abilene, Texas, to support AI. OpenAI is evaluating possible sites in 13 other states. Each site of the Datacenter project is expected to have a capacity of about 1 gigawatt (GW), roughly equivalent to the power generation of a nuclear reactor.
