My 6-month probation (Started on 6 June) period is coming to an end (7 Dec 2024), so it's time for an evaluation.
Old believes debunked
1) I used to (naively) think that dividen stocks is my ticket to easy investing. WBA, STLA, EC, VALE were some of the stocks I bought into heavily and ended up very disappointed. The USD devaluation and the 30% WHT only made things worse.

$Vale SA (VALE.US)$ is gonna be in the green a few days from now as material prices rise once again. on top of that their next dividend date is going to arrive shortly and has a positive projected revenue going forward (minimum 11.50 per share) i am looking forward to this growth in the next month or so

In Aug & Sept, the USD devaluation swept away a big chunk of my capital. By this time, I still knew very little, so my attitude was that of risk-aversion. I bought up a lot of high dividend stocks, which turned out to be dividend traps, and US WHT made it a double wammy. So, undoing those mistakes...

I'm very much in a learning and experimentation stage in the stock market in general and more so in option trading specifically. I'm a slow learner and also do not have a lot of time. What I have is the determination ![]()
I started to sell covered calls 3 weeks ago. Then I discovered rolling a covered call, so I put that into practice.

Started my investing journey in June, so it's my 5th month now. Time flies, and I didn't feel it at all because the journey was pretty engaging.
Rough start - mistakes made and USD devaluation set me back -8% from my total capital injection (no withdrawal made).
