For every 0.25 basis point reduction, the overall quarterly profit of the institution increased by 70 billion US dollars! That's almost 300 billion dollars a year! A 1% interest rate cut would be a huge profit! Even if the stock price falls, it's a huge profit! The meaning of Wall Street trading is obvious!
