152398743 OP ToTheGalaxy : reasonably long term, however I want to maximise the delta in price as stocks hit by the correction recover.
e.g. I'll hold Palantir until it either sits stable for a while, or loses more than 3% sustained over a few days. Also depends on the news cycle. I'm fairly new to trading for real, but have done a lot of "paper trading" with good results. but it's different when it's virtual money. I think without the fear of loss, you're more inclined to take the right positions despite the downside risk, which is always overblown.
I don't do shorts, and options are still a bit advanced for me to trade with real money.
