Retail investors are the blood and lifeline of the exchange and they were offered only $3m worth of shares to apply for. Mockery of how retail is treated? Also note many institutional funds cannot buy SPACs as there isn’t any business inside the shell company except cash. The cornerstone investors were a mix of Temasek related companies , hedge funds and a family office. Anyway, let’s see how the deSPaC exercise plays out.. Will it be a company with all the original venture cap investors rushing to exit, or a company which can show strong growth pipeline to attract new investors.
