SPACELIGHT : How do you measure and define "long term?"

Riddick705 OP SPACELIGHT : For me, a "long hold" strategy means investing in securities like $Tesla (TSLA.US)$  stock with the intention of keeping them until I feel I've achieved my desired returns. The timeline for this depends entirely on my financial goals and circumstances.
I recognize that holding a single stock is inherently risky, so I ensure that no individual stock exceeds 10-15% of my portfolio. That said, I do maintain a significant allocation to the Magnificent Seven, including:

These are remarkable stocks to own and are solid additions to any portfolio.
However, there are some investments I consider untouchable, such as:

I view these as the foundation of my retirement plan. To diversify further, I have multiple portfolios across different brokerage accounts, and I also keep $Tesla (TSLA.US)$    in my “never-to-be-disturbed” holdings—reserved for the long haul and untouched by short-term market movements.
This strategy reflects my belief in balancing growth, stability, and a vision for the future.
