Unpacking the Latest Options Trading Trends in Wells Fargo
U.S. Treasuries are expected to set the longest consecutive rise record in three years. Traders are waiting for a signal from the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates.
US Treasury bonds rose and are expected to record their third consecutive month of weekly gains, marking the longest continuous rise in three years. Long-term bonds led the rise, with the 30-year Treasury yield falling 5 basis points at one point. "If you look at market pricing, you can see that we have already priced in a September rate cut," said Erik Nelson, a macro strategist at Wells Fargo & Co. "Will they cut rates twice? Of course. I think the bigger question for the market is that rate cuts may reach six times or even more."
