sundsvallson Powdahound : I sold a 5/8 put spread for jan3 expiration. When the stock collapsed I sold the long leg and then was only short the 8 put. The holder of that option exercised it 3 days before expiration, so I was obligated to purchase the shares at 8 dollars. Adjusting for the premiums collected, my effective cost basis is 6.70
