$ISHARES S&P/TSX 60 INDEX ETF UNIT (XIU.CA)$ is this a good long term investment?

Being able to give yourself a raise through dividend stocks is so powerful. $Bank of Montreal (BMO.CA)$ $ISHARES S&P/TSX 60 INDEX ETF UNIT (XIU.CA)$ $VANGUARD FTSE CDN HIGH DIVID YIELD TRUST UNIT (VDY.CA)$

Considering taking a very simple approach with $ISHARES CORE EQUITY ETF PORTFOLIO UNITS CAD (XEQT.CA)$ but think it might be too heavy in equities by itself. I could just supplement it with some additional fixed income, but have also thought about the below (I also feel I'm missing stunting without $Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ.US)$ )
Would appreciate any feedback from anyone that was interested in providing.

The TSX is actually doing better than the S&P 500 this year
The S&P 500 is up 15% in 2024 while the TSX is up only 4%...BUT under the hood, the TSX is actually doing MUCH better
Only 23% of S&P 500 stocks are outperforming the index, and 33% are up double-digits
