tbh i know nobody would guess this but i wouldnt be shocked if the fed announces theyre considering raising interest rates to curb the inevitable inflationary effect of tarrifs
We saw how inflation cooled slightly in February even as the pace of price growth remained well above the Federal Reserve's goal ahead when the central bank meet for their policy meeting next week. On Wednesday (13 Mar), the Labor Department said that the consumer price index (CPI), which is a broad measure of how much everyday goods like gasoline, groceries and rent cost have increased by 0.2% in February as compared to January 2025...

I hold static hedges and am DCAing income into gold, but not adding to bond exposure. I am steadily taking profits on tech at pops, and create collars along the way (and monetize both legs if possible.) I am holding five strong conviction companies with global presence, and dynamically hedging them with inverse ETFs which I rebalance daily (as they do.) BRKB is a core holding that I am leaving be, but most other core holdings are subject to stop-loss (awaiting sale.) Ultimately, I will be largely in gold and BTC next year. This time is truly different. I’d intended never to sell off my positions, however, I expect collapse in the next couple of years, so must switch to preservation mode. To that end, I am also holding on to RE and renting it out, and planning to rent myself going forward. I need exposure to growth yet, but….my plans have changed. With something akin to a Minsky Moment, and the Greatest Depression is difficult on the way, hope to capitalize on this last gasp. (Also utilizing options for agility and capital efficiency.)

As momentum stocks like$Tesla (TSLA.US)$and$Palantir (PLTR.US)$cratered (down 10% and 15%, respectively, on Monday), Citigroup's latest Global Macro Strategy report, "A Pause in US Exceptionalism," is gaining traction. The message is clear: Investors are rewriting playbooks to navigate what one trader ...

The market isn’t expecting any cut today. Because the Fed is in no hurry to cut.
What the market would be more interested in is the dot plot and Powell’s speech.
It will be good and assuring if he can say the same thing that he recently mentioned: economy continues to be in a good place. labor market is solid, and inflation has moved closer to their 2% target.
