Bearish outlook for Brazil and Argentina's corn production due to extreme weather conditions leading to low yield forecasts. South Africa's corn yield aligns with USDA estimates, offering a neutral to slightly bullish outlook.
I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what to call these posts, I used to call them "the week ahead..." but I was going out way further than a week and i started updating during the week and calling them updates, now my posts have devolved into just my thoughts at the time. I was too busy to post much, but now I've got nothing but time and can't make any to make a decent post. So here iam siting in the hot tub starting another post, let's see how this goes because there is so...

this is not going to be good for a junk food prices. all those tiny little snacks used corn as a major input. at least most of them. even the sweet junk food has that corn syrup. even ethanol prices should go up

Thanks for sharing Iamiam. That convinced my thoughts. I do consider CORN on last week but Im kind of stuck in oil n gas. To prevent Me from allocate too much into commodities, I will definitely close some of my oil n gas calls to convert it into “Food” such as corn n wheat. ( by November )

corn has a long run, as do the commodities, don't think 6 months think 2024 for oil steel food fertilizer, they will run but what they do is nothing compared to what they will do... This poor corn crop is met with poor fertilizer output and record high prices, record seed prices were met with a collapse and now there is worry that next years crop input (plantings) could be 40% less, nat gas isn't getting cheaper (it is but not on a historic level and it's only temporary) so fertilizer is going to be hard to get again and expensive, the "soft landing" and "inflation has peaked" are tricks and history will show this is a lull in another wave.

I have no experience in trading wheat, rice or corn, but seing the news, it looks as though there has never been a more sure bet. Here's why I am bullish: Last year about that time, China experienced massive floods, which wasted a lot of rice. Then the prices of chemical fertilizers started rising, due to the rising energy prices. The war in Ukraine. Ukraine is a major exporter of wheat, corn, sunfower seeds and oil, as well as chemical fertilizers. Russia, Ch...

What you said is reasonable. The world is facing food shortage. Maybe these food futures are a good choice.
