Zhihu announced a maximum repurchase of $54.8 million of stocks: $3.5 per ADS.
Zhihu (NYSE: ZH; HKEX: 2390) announced today that the company has launched an all-cash tender offer, planning to offer HK$9.11 per share of Class A ordinary shares (equivalent to US$3.50 per American Depositary Share (ADS)), to repurchase up to 46,921,448 shares of the company's Class A ordinary shares (including in the form of ADS). Assuming the final repurchase size reaches the maximum limit, the total purchase price that Zhihu should pay after the tender offer is approximately HK$427.5 million or US$54.8 million, excluding related transaction costs, expenses, and costs. The tender offer consists of both "U.S. offer" and "non-U.S.

On September 6, the latest data released by the globally renowned website ranking and competitive data analysis platform SimilarWeb showed that the direct access volume of Zhihu in August was 1.67 million, a 345% increase from the 0.375 million in July, maintaining a high-speed growth. Previously, Zhihu's direct access growth rate in July ranked fifth globally and first domestically in terms of products. In addition, in the globally AI product weekly rankings produced by Xinzhi, Zhihu's direct answers also entered the list, with significant improvements in weekly visit and mention data compared to before. Zhihu's direct answers is a product that Zhihu delivered in the AI search track at the end of June this year.
