Option Level

1. What's an option level

2. How to apply for/update your option level

1. What's an option level

Your option level will determine the type of options strategies you can trade with moomoo.
To trade specific option strategies, you can apply for an option level in your account. A margin account supports Option Level 1-4, while a cash account supports Option Level 1-2.
A higher option level enables you to trade more complex option strategies, but may also involve greater risks.
Each account's option level is independent of each other. We evaluate and grant option level applications based on your account profile and assets.
Here are the option strategies available for each account type:

Options trading entails significant risk and is not appropriate for all customers. It is important that investors read Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options before engaging in any options trading strategies. Options transactions are often complex and may involve the potential of losing the entire investment in a relatively short period of time. Certain complex options strategies carry additional risk, including the potential for losses that may exceed the original investment amount.
