1. What is a Moomoo Universal Account

Moomoo Universal Account is a new account type launched by Moomoo that supports trading securities in various markets (US, HK, and CN) in multiple currencies.

For new clients who recently opened accounts with us, a Moomoo Universal Account is all you need to trade securities in various markets (US, HK, and CN).

For existing clients who opened accounts with us for some time, you can register for a proactive upgrade, or you can wait for our automatic upgrade.

No, you can use the buying power in your universal account for cross-currency transactions.

4. If I hold HKD but want to withdrawal USD, do I need to convert my currency prior to making the withdrawal

Yes. Currently, we do not support withdrawal on margin, you still need to convert the currency before withdrawing funds. You need to wait 2 days for settlement before you can convert the funds to USD and withdraw it after you close your HK stock.
