Apple's global developer conference, which will be held on June 5th, will be one of the most critical events in the company's history. As the date of Apple's WWDC developer conference approaches, more details about iOS 17 are gradually emerging. Unlike the minor updates in iOS 16, it is reported that iOS 17 is more practical in understanding users' real needs, such as changes to the control center UI, support for custom categories in the App resource library, support for lyrics display in the Apple Music lock screen component, reduction in text display in the Apple Music UI, direct replacement with graphics, support for continuous adjustment of flashlight brightness, support for sharing in lock screen presets, addition of font size adjustment in lock screen settings, Emoji wallpaper, and other features.
Perhaps the most noteworthy is the previously criticized App Library, which is the negative first screen function introduced by Apple starting from iOS 14. Its original intention was to collect all new apps, including automatic reordering, but it cannot be completely disabled or customized with folders and categories. This may affect efficiency and result in a poor user experience if users are not familiar with app categorization.
In addition, Apple will announce and showcase iOS 17, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17, watchOS 10, and macOS 14 at this WWDC2023, and there may be new hardware releases as well. There are also reports that Apple will release AR/VR headsets, as well as the Mac Pro and 15-inch MacBook Air.
