Nisdey Warren Buffed : Funny you say that. In the long term, Russia can win, based purely on population alone. They can sustain nearly 10x the casualty rate, and still come out on top.
The question is whether Putin will still be around to keep it going.
Also, I don't want to say this too loudly, but I think the US presidential election will determine the length of both these wars.

razo2 OP Nisdey : well said. he don't realise Russia have 300k army men trained for war. unlike Ukraine is filled with police man and soon to be dead husbands. Russia over took most of the cities with clusters of 7 to 10 men to attack a city. there is still few hundred thousand army waiting in Russia. and one thing to learn from history, the Russians creamed the Germans for a reason. both Germany and Russia is good at war but clearly one is better then the other.
Nisdey razo2 OP : to be fair, I think the red army's victory over the Nazis had more to do with Hitler not knowing how brutal Russian winters are, but still. They are a force to be reckoned with.
Also, without western support, Ukraine would have lost in the first 3 months.
This is why I think that a Trump presidency would put an end to the war. If he stops sending them free stuff, Zelinsky will need to make reasonable compromises to save Ukraine's existence.
Not saying it's fair, but the idea that everything should be "equitable" has never existed in history before (and probably won't exist for long now).
It's like everyone in the western world has forgotten how evolution works, and are pushing for survival of the weakest.
They'll quickly be overrun by the strong, and this whole woke idea will be quickly forgotten. But then again, communism never worked, yet people keep trying to redirect that failed experiment.
