Shipments of NVIDIA's “GB 200” equipped server, Hon Hai will be limited by the end of the year

Shipments will expand greatly from January to March next year - Hon Hai spokesperson
Suggests the challenges NVIDIA faces in accelerating innovation
Taiwan's Hon Hai Precision Industries indicated on the 14th that it would only begin small shipments of servers equipped with next-generation chips from US NVIDIA in October-December (4th quarter). It suggests issues that NVIDIA, which designs artificial intelligence (AI) accelerators, faces in accelerating innovation.
James Wu, a spokesperson for Hon Hai, explained to analysts in a conference call on the 14th that shipments of “GB200" equipped servers are expected to expand greatly from January to March 2025 (first quarter).
Hon Hai has built a close cooperative relationship with NVIDIA and aims to gain a 40% share in the market that supplies AI servers necessary for model training to data center operators.
Bloomberg News reported earlier that NVIDIA faced technical issues in the next-generation image processing semiconductor (GPU) “Blackwell” lineup development, and the release of some products intended to expand its lead in the AI computing market was delayed.
