Tesla: Model Y has the lowest energy consumption among SUVs globally, running 100 kilometers on 60 kilowatt-hours.

On September 18, Tesla officially shared a picture today, stating that the Model Y is one of the SUVs with the lowest energy consumption globally, able to run more than 6 kilometers per kilowatt-hour.
Tesla proudly claims: Tesla achieves the result of running 100 kilometers on just 60 kilowatt-hours!
In this ranking, Kia ranks second with the ability to run 5.8 kilometers on 1 kilowatt-hour, followed by Ford and Hyundai, which can run 5.5 kilometers on 1 kilowatt-hour. Audi and Volkswagen can run 5 kilometers on 1 kilowatt-hour.

Calculating at 6.1 kilometers per kilowatt-hour, the Tesla Model Y has an electricity consumption of 16.4 kWh per 100 kilometers, which is indeed quite energy-saving for a 2-ton SUV.
It is worth mentioning that the Model Y also demonstrates significant advantages in terms of vehicle lifecycle cost. According to relevant data, the lifecycle cost per kilometer for the Model Y in 2023 is only 3.07 yuan, compared to 5.12 yuan per kilometer for the equivalent luxury brand, BMW X3, which significantly reduces the vehicle's usage cost.
