But you’re right about timing the market, usually it dropped to my expected price then I hesitate to buy, thinking it will drop further. Keep the discipline is the hard part.

Another possible good trading practice, when fund is sufficient, is 'laddering' the entry at different entry prices with preferred quantity in batches and let the systems flows. It might somehow help to minimise the emotional impact and uphold discipline.

yea I realized in moomoo u play the 100 points lucky draw very easy to get 5 or 2 dollar cash voucher that can offset your platform fee ... if buying in 100shares which usually about 99 cents (only play if you want to buy because the stock cash voucher expire in a week)
good advice the laddering is similar to average down but systematically entry within a quick period of time.. but usually for trading
abit different to dca whereby it's like usually monthly fixed amount fixed time... regardless the price. usually for investing
of cos dca is not good if the price is already very near bottom and instead a lump sum is recommended
I.e. uob from 37 drop to 30 for example (on condition no fundamental issue) .. you got sgd 100k on hand . this is one of the best entry to put in 100k lump sum or 50k lump sum (laddering in 2 batches) rather than continue dca I.e $1000 per month . if stuck u know at least u buy the price at least 19 % cheaper and still got a 5% or more dividend yield

RenenoMirai OP kenzsim : Morning got signs of bear but went up eventually. US side went up, so likely it’s a bull
