NVIDIA, the American semiconductor giant, has completed the acquisition of a startup in Israel, totaling 0.7 billion dollars.

In October, the European Union (EU) pointed out that approval under antitrust law is necessary for NVIDIA's competition hindrance in the image processing semiconductor (GPU) market, regarding the acquisition. In early December, it concluded that the acquisition would not cause competitive concerns and unconditionally approved the $700 million acquisition proposal.
NVIDIA is in a nearly monopolistic position in GPU sales, with a market share of about 80%.
