What is the success rate of traders? How to increase the chances of profitable trades? Is this still a viable option?
It should be made clear that not all traders can make a profit. The success rate of traders is between 3-5%. Approximately 95-97% of traders do not succeed or make a profit. This may be caused by many factors.
These factors are almost the same as lack of discipline, greed, improper trade management, poor trading plans, chasing losses, impulsive trading, and emotional trading.
We are human, and at certain times we may be influenced by one of these factors.
But you can increase the chance of successful trades through the following ways;
Never stop learning about trading. The day you feel you know everything is the day you are about to fail.
Research the market, gather all information about the market, understand how the market operates, what it reacts to, and how it fluctuates. Just with this, your analysis has an advantage.
Develop a suitable trading plan and stick to it. Trade during your most active time of the day, without any pressure. Set aside a time for market analysis and a convenient trading plan that does not interfere with your personal life or family time. This way, you will not be burdened by the market.
It's understood that you can't always be right in the market. The market has good days and bad days, so when you encounter a series of bad days (which is normal), it's best to temporarily stay away from the market to avoid emotional trading.
Don't monitor trades, trust your analysis, strategy, and biases before making trades. Have proper risk management. Losing trades are part of the game, you may have 2/3 losses, but one good profitable trade can actually make up for all your losses, leading to overall success. Don't monitor your trades every minute, execute the trade and leave the market for a while.
Have a good trading strategy, risk management, trade management, clear mindset, and dedication to all that I have listed.
Patience is a virtue, it's the most important part of trading. Wait for your setups to appear in the market before trading. Wait a day, a week, or longer for your setups to emerge. Don't enter the market directly.
All of these are what you need to profit as a trader, and I am a practitioner in this regard.
I will share a trade below, including my analysis first and then the results. This is a trade, but there are two images.
I patiently waited for several days, hoping this trade would align with my strategy. When it did, I immediately took advantage and executed the trade. I have proper risk management in place, with my stop loss and take profit already set. It was a good trade and a beautiful day.
That being said, this is your strategy for succeeding in trades.
