WHO declares a state of emergency at Mpox - rapid spread of infection in Africa

On the 14th, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a public health emergency of international concern regarding mpox (monkeypox), which is rapidly spreading in Africa.
Regarding Mpox, the WHO declared a state of emergency in 2022 as well. The state of emergency ended about a year later, but the number of infected people in Africa continued to increase.
Currently, the highly severe variant of Mpox has spread to at least 6 countries in Africa, and in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, about 15,000 people were infected this year alone, and more than 500 people died.
