Successful investing is about picking winning stocks that have the potential to increase in value over time and then holding on to them. The comparison between value and growth investing is a topic worth looking at. Value investing is done by searching for companies trading for relatively cheap valuations based on some financial ratios and key metrics like P/E, P/S and P/B ratios, which are important in value stock selection process. Growth investing seeks stocks that capitalise on stellar growth in financials that help them capture market's attention and produce exceptional returns. Value stocks like $Ford Motor(F.US)$, $Merck & Co(MRK.US)$, $United Parcel Service(UPS.US)$ may be possible long term outperformers while growth stocks like $Airbnb(ABNB.US)$, $PayPal(PYPL.US)$, $Block(SQ.US)$ are offering attractive growth story which makes them worthwhile bets. Both value and growth investing can present great investing opportunities to investors. Whichever investing style is more suitable will depend on the investing preference and financial goals of the investor.

Forrest Li's incredible rise to the top as Singapore's richest person follows the surge in the share price of $Sea(SE.US)$, providing another example of how tech billionaires are climbing up the wealth rankings across Asia. His rags-to-riches story serves an inspiration for many aspiring entrepreneurs in Singapore and around the world. $Sea(SE.US)$ is now the most valuable listed company in Southeast Asia, a far cry from the initial reaction to its IPO in 2017 with its messy financials. Fast forward today, the aggressive expansion for its gaming, e-commerce and fintech businesses has led to soaring sales for ...

Big Tech stocks $Apple(AAPL.US)$,  $Microsoft(MSFT.US)$ , $Alphabet-A(GOOGL.US)$, $Amazon(AMZN.US)$, $Facebook Inc(FB.US)$ that dominate the $S&P 500 Index(.SPX.US)$ have delivered impressive earnings that are generally higher than expected but were mostly sold off after reports of better than expected earnings. Still, these Big Tech shares are hovering near record highs. With regulatory challenges and Fed tapering, the risk of heightened market volatility seems to be lingering. The five Big Tech firms are acknowledged by many institutional investors as having the strongest business models in the stock planet and their valuation can continue to rise as cloud potential is still growing. While regulatory pressures may take a while to abate, the future earnings outlook for these Big Tech companies and the macro outlook should be key factors to consider whether it would still be worthwhile to buy on pullbacks, which have been pretty mild so far relative to deep market history.

As we all know, the 56 years since the independence of Singapore is an extraordinary period. Singapore has experienced many ups and downs -- from the birth of the country to becoming the Garden City of the world. Singapore Spirit can meanhardworking, caring, disciplined, innovative, courageous, and more...
This is the 1st birthday moomoo celebrates for Singapore. We can feel the spirit of Singapore since the beginning. Do you also feel the moomoo spirit in some sense? ...

Consider the forward looking statement released by the management to better understand the future business sentiments of the company and to get a better sense of the growth prospects of the company in the coming quarter(s). A good example is the recent case of $Apple(AAPL.US)$. Doing so will allow us to make better judgements on our trading and investment decisions. $Apple(AAPL.US)$ stock price dropped despite the very stunning financial results in terms of earnings and sales as the positive factors have already been factored in the recent stock price increase and the management has hinted overall slowing sales growth moving forward. This has certainly put a damper on its good results and caused the stock price to fall back instead.
