As this second week of paper trading comes to an end, I hadn’t had very high hopes of returning to profitability. Overall both my paper & real portfolios had a tough week. But suddenly today we are back to profits, which is a nice surprise. Maybe the recent surprise surge with $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ got the markets moving upwards again?

Having more luck today on my paper trades. Typically don’t pick very volatile stocks, but definitely noticing that they are a better way to play this game. Always impressed by those with the dedication and knowledge to buy low and sell on high volatilty stocks.

Not off to a great start on this paper trade, down for the second day. Have always been more of a long term investor, and seeing that this sort of competition requires a different mindset. I am very impressed by some of the top scores in just a few days. At least I’m doing much better in real life!

This year started with a lot of pessimism, and although I don't think any of that has passed, it feels like fresh air is starting to move in. In January, we were definitely still feels the pain of inflation, and it was feeling like a recession was imminent. But then a sudden AI craze sprang from the release of Chat GPT.
