Futures are rising during pre-market as major chips/semiconductors and technology stocks rose to start a new trading week.
Interestingly, the 10-year yield is near a high of 4.6%.
I don’t think they both can go up at such rate at the same time.
One of them has to give eventually.

After the late-in-the-year weakness, and a very oversold market, it’s always nice to finally see some buyers stepping in.
The major indexes are not too far away from their record highs.
As fund managers from major financial institutions come back to work and with trading volume picking up this week, let’s see if the bullish recovery can continue.

US stock market rebounded strongly last Friday to clock its first gain since Christmas.
As we enter 2025 and put aside the Santa Rally’s absence, investors could be looking at another indicator which has correctly forecasted full year stock performance with a 70 to 80% accuracy since 1950.

We had a volatile start to the the new year as major indexes and stocks declined on the first trading day of 2025
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq have now declined for 5 straight sessions. This marked their longest losing streaks since April last year
The indexes initially rose but the market reversed the gains later in the trading day.
Tech giant Apple weighed on the market, falling 2.6%. Tesla fell 6% after reporting

Futures are higher during pre-market as trading gets going for the new year
In case you’re not aware, S&P 500 posted 23% gain for 2024. It rose more than 50% in last 2 years, largest gain since 1997 - driven by hype in AI. But what followed after 1997-1998 was the 2000 dot com bubble
Right now, AI revolution seems doing well, and many are saying that this is not a bubble because the rich valuations are backed by companies’ earnings.

Today is the second day of 2025, finally ending the unforgettable 2024. Throughout 2024, I experienced events big and small, some happy and some disappointing. But to sum up 2024, I would call it: lucky.
So why was it lucky? Let me tell you. At the beginning of 2024, things weren't going well for me. I suffered a severe setback, not just in January of 2024, but starting from the end of November 2023, I had been in a losing streak until January. Why did I suffer such a big failure? The main reasons were in two aspects and the use of other derivative tools. First, on November 20th, I saw $XIAOMI-W (01810.HK)$ I watched it rise all the way and I couldn't help myself.
Furthermore, my beloved stock Tesla is indispensable. The situation of Tesla is similar to Xiaomi's, when Tesla's stock price, reaching as high as 400 in June 2023, fell to 1...

In the early hours of the first trading days of 2025, the futures are green. Investors would hope to regain 2024’s bullish momentum after a few consecutive days of pullback.
2023 and 2024 have given us more than 20% return in S&P500. If we can get that for a third year in a row, that will be phenomenal.
