Indicator are just indicator,it may not applied to all stocks as it is a lagging indicator thus may not be too reactive in time...

If you have confident on the company and you already bought it at high,believing it will go higher but end up it goes south,the only alternative is to buy more to average out so to bring down the losses,and hopefully over time it will go higher or minimize the losses.
Selling call is another alternative
it is all about zeronsum game and the game of stock is always about timing,trend,taking action,transferring risk.

Depending on which stock you own or buy..if too late to cut loss..jus brace through the storm if you are confident on the company that it can weather through the hurricane ..I do hold losing position in Boeing and Alibaba for now.
Average up again provided you have holding power and can't take the storm through the trough period ...and hopefully one day it will rise to peak again...life is full of joy and sorrow after all...

The investing world is full of hopes and despair.Someone could feel that it is opportunities to buy while some could feel that it is time to get out or short.
One need to have the passion,persistence,plan, perseverance,patient (5P) to be in this world of investing.
Mistake is sell too early when reaping profit or get in too late to ride up...
but after all who can predict market top or bottom.
as long as one had their own strategy (5P) it should be fine...
