$SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY$SPDR SPY is getting dangerously close to the previous lower support line of the massive rising wedge pattern, likely around 560. Talk about a V-shaped recovery. If this reacts like many rising wedges I have witnessed on many other time frames we might get the gap fill and then a hard rejection. What better way to take retail's money than to pump the market hard and fast on low volume, get the bulls' hopes up and heavy in calls, and then reverse sharply? VIX keeps dropping...

RobertW : with all things considered in the impacts catalyst and the stocks closely related to that, this thing can go one of two ways. if they really are offering a reverse stock split that could be considerably bad if market sentiment reacts negatively to it. depends on how large the split is. usually when a company increases share price by a reverse split retail traders tend to see that as a sign of company weakness and become trepidatious about trading it.
