good to invest long term because in the long run the market always goes up. this should hold true if you buy the index like S&P500. I heard an advice to buy stocks for companies that you know and trust if you are a newbie. companies that you use and know are good Eg. Apple, Netflix, Disney, Coca Cola etc

the biggest mistake I made was investing in stocks that people says is good without doing my own homework. blindly following them and buying hype companies isn’t the best idea. but then again… because of that I bought Tesla and hey! it’s doing good 😂 so you lose some you win some. still going to do my own due diligence from now on though.
