That's my preference as a Sg-based investor. Seems to me to be the practical thing to do. Invest in individual Sg stocks as familiar with them / easy to get local brokers' articles on them. Less familiar with foreign stocks / no time to read-up, so buy an ETF or other fund.

Of course getting married, having kids are more important milestones, but choosing MooMoo as my online broker has turned out to be quite a significant milestone too. Joining initially for the economical commission rates, I subsequently realized that it's a time-saving 1-stop shop. I can get all the financial ratios, charts & technical analyses, market / sector indices & their component stocks, stock screening, education on stocks & derivatives, free points, ...

"Buy the rip" is a new terminology to me, I gather it's like dollar-cost-averaging on the way down, I feel this works for medium to long term investors. For normal humans, buying when stocks are cheap due to declining market comes hand-in-hand with some anxiety/fear. Dollar cost averaging (ie. planning from the beginning to buy in a few tranches on the way down), this method of buying takes away some of this fear, that prevents some people fr...

I surely will do this if I can go back in time. Like many "traditional Asians", my parents were not expressive in this aspect. I should have taken the lead to often hug them. I shouldn't have been awkward about it because hugs will turn into cherished memories when they pass on. I will also bring them on more holidays. And yes, I would have invested in $Apple (AAPL.US)$ , $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ and other multi-baggers.

ETFs were originally seen as less risky as you invest in a basket of index stocks e.g. $SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY.US)$ but they have come out with more and more products and the risk level has gone up with Leveraged ETFs like $ProShares UltraPro QQQ ETF (TQQQ.US)$ and even Inverse ETFs like $ProShares UltraPro Short QQQ ETF (SQQQ.US)$. Quite interesting to have a look at their respective portfolios via Detailed Quotes > Components as screenshot bel...

Follow. but no need to "fast follow"; it will likely still pull-back when overall market is down, so buy on pull-backs (which may however not be much cheaper, as i notice, in Sg at least, that such stocks are more stable even when market is bad...unless knee-jerk reaction to really bad general market news or perhaps black-out period prior to results announcements when they cannot buy/support price).

Yes, this is very accurate. I analyze my targeted stock's Fundamentals and then I do Technical Analysis on its chart for entry/exit price levels. I also analyze its recent Corporate Announcements. Also, I believe in portfolio diversification. I notice that many of the Moomoo-ers I follow who posted on this thread are also Analyst Personality, so birds of a feather flock together...or let's be "he(a)rd" together!

I shall start monitoring my Watchlist stocks' OBV for divergences from now on. Thanks @Meta Moofor the lesson. But, can anyone comment :
Is this considered a divergence (pls see lines drawn on screenshot of $SamuderaShipping (S56.SG)$ ),price was coming down but OBV was still going up (albeit with shallow slope)?

I was eagerly looking for this data on $YZJ Fin Hldg (YF8.SG)$ (which saw lots of selling recently) but unfortunately it doesn't display. Is there a technical issue on my end or is this function not yet available for the Sg stocks; n if so, when available?
