I am thankful for my wife and my beautiful healthy kids. My setback was the company I worked for the last 20 years went into bankruptcy,  not long after I started investing. So I had to stop investing, even cashed out my retirement.   I did use my 41K to pay off my house so now I own my house.  Funny thing is now the market has dropped my 401K would have been worthless but because of my company going bankrupt I used it on paying my house off so I actually gained.
