A regular savings plan (RSP) is an investment program that allows investors to contribute money to an investment account at regular intervals. For instance, you may invest 1,000 USD in selected funds on the 1st day of every month to spread capital and reduce overall investment risks.
Funds under RSP can still be subscribed and redeemed at any time.
Universal accounts and bank cards(DBS/POSB) can be used to create RSPs.
Four investment cycles are available: monthly, biweekly, weekly, daily.
The investment will fail if you have insufficient funds in the paying account.
You can choose to "rebuy" on the investment details page after the investment failure.
When creating an RSP, there is an option: "Invest Now".
1) Not selecting "Invest Now" means that investments will be initiated according to the selected investment cycle.
2) Selecting "Invest Now" means that when you create an RSP, the first deduction will be triggered immediately and the subsequent investments will be initiated according to the selected investment cycle.
The debit date is usually selected when creating the RSP; but when there is a non-trading day, the debit date will be moved to the next trading day.
There will be no penalty if your account fails to pay; but the RSP will be automatically terminated if too many failures occurred.
The following items can be modified: payment account, payment amount and investment cycle.
There is no limit to the number of times of modification.
You may suspend the going RSP at any time.
A suspended RSP can be restarted at any time.
A terminated RSP cannot be restarted, but you may start a new plan. Multiple RSPs are supported for a single fund.
