The Group mainly supplies scaffolding for the following types of construction and building works in Hong Kong: (i) construction works for public housing; (ii) construction works for private residential and commercial buildings; (iii) maintenance and renovation works of public housing, private residential properties and commercial buildings; (iv) Landslide prevention and repair works for slopes and retaining walls. In addition to the above, the Group also produces plastic scooters for personal use. A scaffolding is a temporary structure constructed during the construction period of construction and building works to provide passageways and pedestrian paths for construction workers to work at height, as well as supporting materials and equipment. Most construction projects in Hong Kong require scaffolding. Scaffolding systems composed of outer and inner layers provide construction workers with temporary workbenches for construction above ground. Huilong Sheds was founded by Mr. Su's brother and sister in 1982. Ms. Lai and Mr. Su became shareholders of Huilong Scaffolding in July 1986 and October 1995 respectively (Note 1). By April 1999, Mr. Su and Ms. Lai held all of Huilong Scaffolding's shares (Note 2). In July 2001, Mr. Su and Ms. Lai reorganized Huilong Scaffolding and established the Group to consolidate the shed business of the Company and its subsidiaries. As a major company for construction or building projects using scaffolding, the Group is required to actively contact the chief contractor, subcontractor, architect, engineer and other professionals involved in the project to ensure the progress of each project and make appropriate revisions.
